One person, one record, all their roles
No duplicates
On creation, a person already in the directory (same email, otherwise same name) is flagged: you complete their record instead of creating a second one. Empty fields are filled in, nothing is overwritten.

Other rescues, shelters, pounds, town halls, veterinary clinics: an organisation record with its contact person, separate from people.

Frequently asked questions
What happens if a volunteer becomes an adopter?
You tick the Adopter role on their record: the household and adoption plans section is added, and everything about the volunteer stays in place.
How are duplicates spotted?
When a record is created, Calidis compares the email, then the name. If the person already exists, it offers to complete their record.
Can you write to a contact from their record?
Yes. “Send an email” opens a message, with your official documents ready to attach in one click. The email is logged on the record.
